Peninsula Pastries Palm Springs Reviews

04/26/25-04/27/25 First time trying out genuine French pastries while my boyfriend and I are here for the weekend get away. When we walk in on Saturday we were greeted by Helena a very nice lady the store inside is cute and clean! We got their original croissant, chocolate croissants, popular pecan croissant, traditional baguette and onion baguette. None are disappointed they all are exceeded my expectation! They all are delicious and texture of the croissants are fluffy soft. Before I head back to LA we can back buy more original croissants, onion baguettes, and their butters!!

Absolutely incredible bread here. I got their epi bread with butter and immediately proceeded to eat the entire thing in my car. Did I buy it for dinner? Yes. Their pecan pastry was also delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the chouquettes' eggy flavor, but the slightly burnt sugar it has kept me coming back. I think if you had some pastry creme pair it with, it would be really good! I recommend stopping by if you're in Palm Springs. It's definitely one of my favorite places there. They appreciate cash payments!

I've had the pleasure of visiting Peninsula pastries twice now in the past few years, the most recent being this weekend. The shop owner, Helene was an absolute pleasure to meet and very helpful with explaining the different breads they had to offer. Since it had been a few years since my last visit, I asked for a recommendation on a treat for my afternoon tea. She recommended the Apple turnover which was the most flaky pastry I have ever had. The filling was reminiscent of an apple butter with slices of apple. I also picked out a half spice mix baguette that I took home to have with some soup later on that day. The spice bread flavor was mild for my teeth, but still a perfect accompaniment. My only disappointment was that the Apple turnover appeared to be a little bit dark on the top and the pastry tasted bitter from the dark bake. The shop otherwise was clean and the owner was super polite and helpful, and I will come back again for more bread. There is no other place that I am aware of which features imported French flour and I do appreciate the care and thought that went into the process.

This tiny bakery has a following as we had to wait in line outside before we could go in to order. Everything looked so good like they were just taken out of the oven. We ordered two pastries and we started eating them in the parking lot. They were so good and flavored just right.

This is a superb bakery. Simple, elegant selection of French pastries that look beautiful and taste wonderful. Also, many of the pastries are sized bigger than normal. Impressive. They also offer a good selection of breads, including several variations of baguette. On this occasion, I tried the half cheese baguette and it tasted like it was fresh out of the oven. Heavenly. I would come back here again and again. The line of people waiting to get in tells me I am not probably alone in that sentiment. I look forward to my next visit.

Stopped by this lovely French pastry shop on the way out, what a lovely experience I had. Helen, the owner was so delightful and explained all the different variety of pastries and breads that were available. She has a cute French accent as well. And she loves us Yelpie 's! I bought the large ChoChou pastry filled with Chantilly cream. Boy was it delicious! I highly recommend this spot!

Authentic French pastries, breads, and desserts. C'est un vrai régal! Came in very early as they were opening and there were only a few locals grabbing their favorite treats. I also heard French accents and knew everything would most likely be fabulous. French are the best pastry and bread makers in the world in my opinion. I chose a half size onion loaf with some french butter of course and my fave sweet treat a kouign-amann. The bread was spectacular ~ light, airy, slightly chewy, filled with caramelized onions, and had a perfectly crispy exterior. My sweet treat was amazing as well, very buttery, flakey, and had an addictive caramel-like coating. Loved everything so much that I came back the very next day for more. They offer a good amount of variety and I'll be back each time I visit Palm Springs.

Delicious cakes and a lovely owner.... She made a last-minute birthday cake and it was a huge hit. We also bought a few meringues that were delicious.
